Now I wasn't sure about this tune for quiet some time, it took a serious pounding from Radio 6 before the Manchester band's icy grandeur worked its way into my psyche. Like a winter accompaniment to Metronomy's homegrown Crocket and Tubbs, Fester is in that glorious tradition of slightly gawky, jittery art rock for the dancefloor. Now I'm re-clicking the Soundcloud like a cat with flees - file along with early Talk Talk, or imagine Everything Everything if they weren't annoying.
