Free Pussy Riot

The trial of Pussy Riot started on monday, you can keep up to date with events on Free Pussy Riot

If you are unaware, briefly, three members of Russian performance art/punk group Pussy Riot are facing 7 years imprisonment after a 1 minute performance in a Priest's only section of Moscow's Cathedral Of Christ The Saviour. The performance was designed to draw attention to the special relationship (read: corrupt) between Putin and the leadership of the Russian Orthadox Church.

Amnesty are on the case. Please do check out the link where you'll find all the information and ways you can keep up to date and support the women.

Maverick game-changers/hipster cliches Animal Collective return with this taster for their forthcomming Domino released album. More muscular than they've been for a long time, within the trade mark echoes that fly around most of their productions like the evil ghosts at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Panda Bear is once again deployes what I believe has always been their real secret weapon: an ability to stretch phrasing and melody beyond convention into hallucinogenic recasts of familiar pop tropes.

Usher time. Want to hear what Usher would sound like if he joined TV On The Radio? David Sitek keeps the structure and vocals of the Diplo produced original, gently teasing out a spacious dub

Big atmospheric House that sounds like the early sunday afternoon sun shining through the Panorama Bar? Australian Isaac Tichauer's sublime variations on classic, sometimes tropical House suddenly fill me with a bizarre realization that I haven't even snorted a line of coke since New Year. Sometimes you just don't plan these things, you just roll with them

A rich almost Bernard Herman-like bed of samples are chopped to lay the foundations for A$AP Mob's new track and taster for forthcoming album. A brew strong in a Wu Tang atmosphere, cinematic yet stoned, and ending in a great laugh. I love a tune that ends in a laugh. I can't think of any right now but that's besides the point. Can you think of any?

Sweater Beats were featured a little while back, well here they are again with some summer jiggery pokery, all vocal snatches pitched up and down over slo-mo electro for listening to on yachts or at the very least a good stabilized Mirror dinghy.
